Are you passionate about advancing radiation oncology through research and quality improvement? Join our team as a clinically based Research and Quality Senior Radiation Therapist and help shape the future of patient care through evidence-based practice.
This senior role coordinates and participates in Research and Quality projects across the Nepean Cancer and Wellness Centre's three Radiation Oncology professional groups: Radiation Therapists, Radiation Oncologists, and Radiation Oncology Medical Physicists. You will support the implementation of new techniques and equipment using an evidence-based approach, while managing Research and Quality Assurance/Improvement activities for a significant part of your time, with the remaining time dedicated to maintaining clinical skills, recency of practice and relieving other Radiation Therapists of clinical duties to perform their own projects.

What you will bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Sciences) or qualification deemed equivalent by employer and recognised by the MRPB; General Registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and holder of IA13 and S13 Radiation User Licence (NSW EPA Licence).
- Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in all aspects of radiation therapy, including modern and emerging techniques and technology, as well as multi-modality imaging and registration, IMRT/VMAT and advanced IGRT/SGRT techniques.
- Evidence of active participation and involvement in research and development through previous experience and through associated presentations, conferences, publications and In-services.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, educate and train staff in research, quality and clinical principles, practice and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, maintaining quality communication and interpersonal skills with patients, radiation therapy staff and other health care professionals
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Demonstrated excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking to work independently, confidently and accurately in a timely manner.
