Based in Victoria, you'll be at the forefront of expanding our presence, rather than influencing one classroom, you'll help improve literacy and numeracy outcomes across hundreds of schools in Victoria and Tasmania expanding your reach and your contribution to Australian education in a meaningful and lasting way. This is a 360-sales role combining strategic account management, new business development, and consultative selling.

How Can You Make an Impact?

We are seeking a Learning Solutions Consultant to manage and grow an established territory across Victoria and Tasmania. You'll be the primary point of contact for hundreds of existing school customers building trusted relationships, supporting literacy and numeracy outcomes, and identifying opportunities to grow McGraw Hill's impact across the region.

This is a relationship-first role. Your first priority will be deepening connections with an existing customer base, before transitioning into broader new business development. Every day, your efforts will contribute to unlocking the potential of learners across two Australian states.

What You Will Be Doing

Regional Account Management-

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for several hundred existing schools, booksellers, and distributors across Victoria and Tasmania
  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess needs, satisfaction, and engagement
  • Build and nurture multi-level relationships across school leadership, coordinators, teaching staff, and digital transformation teams

Upselling & Account Growth

  • Proactively identify expansion and upsell opportunities within your existing client base
  • Develop and present tailored solutions aligned to each institution's goals and challenges
  • Execute structured account growth plans to increase product adoption and revenue

Inbound Lead Conversion

  • Nurture and close inbound leads efficiently through the full sales cycle in collaboration with Inside Sales
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that resonate with decision-makers
  • Ensure a seamless transition from prospect to satisfied customer

Strategic Prospecting

  • Execute multi-channel outreach strategies targeting primary and secondary schools across Victoria and Tasmania
  • Research and identify key decision-makers at targeted schools
  • Strategically plan and conduct face-to-face school visits to accelerate the sales process
  • Maintain a healthy and active new business pipeline to consistently meet and exceed targets

Pipeline & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records across all accounts and opportunities
  • Provide weekly reporting to sales leadership
  • Monitor progress against targets and adjust strategies proactively

Market Intelligence

  • Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and the evolving landscape across your region
  • Share insights with internal teams to help refine go-to-market strategy and product positioning

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences
  • Contribute regional insights to inform broader business strategy and campaign planning

We Are Looking for Someone With

  • A strong understanding of the Australian K–12 school landscape a background in teaching or education is highly regarded
  • A genuine passion for improving student outcomes in literacy and numeracy
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • A positive, growth-oriented mindset with an interest in developing commercial skills.
  • Strong digital fluency with the ability to quickly learn and demonstrate new platforms and products
  • Proficiency in CRM management and data-driven sales reporting (or a willingness to develop these skills)
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage a broad territory independently
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Victoria and Tasmania to foster strong

customer relationships.
