Overview:

TheConsultant-SupplyChainisresponsiblefordeliveringhigh-levelsupplychainconsultingservicestoTMXclientsbyanalysingoperations,identifyingimprovementopportunities,anddesigningtailoredsolutionsthatimproveefficiency,reducecosts,andsupportstrategicbusinessgoals.Therolerequiresadvancedanalytical,problem-solving,andcommunicationskillsandcontributesdirectlytothesuccessofprojectsacrossvariousindustries

Responsibilities:

• Analysecomplexoperationalsystems,processesandworkflowstoidentifyinefficiencies,constraints,risksandopportunitiesforimprovement.
• Applyindustrialengineeringprinciples,quantitativeanalysisandmodellingtechniquestooptimiseoperationalperformance,productivity,resourceutilisationandcostefficiency.
• Designanddevelopimprovedoperationalprocesses,workflowsolutionsandfacilityconfigurationstoenhancesupplychainandlogisticsperformance.
• Leaddistributioncentredesign,warehouseoptimisationandoperationaltransformationprojects,includingthedevelopmentoffacilitylayouts,materialflowdesignsandoperatingmodels.
• Conductengineeringassessmentsofwarehouseautomationtechnologies,includingautomatedstorageandretrievalsystems(ASRS),autonomousmobilerobots(AMRs),conveyors,sortationsystemsandothermaterialhandlingsolutions.
• Developcapacitymodels,labourmodels,resourceplanningmodelsandfinancialanalysestosupportengineeringrecommendationsandoperationaldecision-making.
• Preparetechnicalreports,engineeringanalyses,businesscasesandpresentationsoutliningimprovementopportunities,proposedsolutionsandimplementationstrategies.
• Facilitateworkshopswithclientsandstakeholderstounderstandoperationalchallenges,definerequirementsandtranslatebusinessneedsintopracticalengineeringsolutions.
• Collaboratewithmultidisciplinaryteamsincludingsupplychainconsultants,automationspecialists,projectmanagersandclientstakeholderstodeliverintegratedsolutions.
• Applystructuredproblem-solvingmethodologies,continuousimprovementtechniquesanddata-drivenanalysistoimproveindustrialandsupplychainprocesses.
• Supportbusinessdevelopmentandgrowexistingclientrelationships
• Ensureallworkisdeliveredinaccordancewithrelevantsafety,compliance,qualityandprofessionalstandards.

Skillsandexperience:

• Minimum3years'relevantexperienceinindustrialengineering,intralogistics,warehouseautomation.
• Experiencedesigning,optimisingordeliveringdistributioncentresolutions.
• Bachelor'sdegreeinEngineering(preferablyIndustrialEngineering).
• Strongunderstandingofwarehouseoperations,automationandmaterialhandlingsystems.
• Experiencedevelopingbusinesscasesandsupportingcapitalinvestmentdecisions.
• Stronganalytical,modellingandproblem-solvingcapability.
• Abilitytoengageandinfluenceseniorstakeholders.
• Provenprojectdeliveryandclientmanagementexperience.
• ExperiencewithAutoCAD,SketchUporsimilardesigntoolspreferred.
• Knowledge of WMS platforms and warehouse technologies.
