DRA covers all major mining centres with offices across Africa and the Middle East, North and South America, and Asia-Pacific About the Role: Seeking a Senior/Lead Process Engineer to join our Brisbane based team. The ideal candidate will have a background in minerals process plant design across base metals, critical minerals and/or gold as well as demonstrated success in the delivery of studies and projects. Minerals Processing concentrator design experience, including comminution circuit design is required. Reporting to the Process Department Manager, you will be leading or working with a highly experienced team and will be exposed to a continuous succession of small to large domestic and possibly international projects as they progress through the project lifestyle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning to operations. Responsibilities of the role include: Lead process engineering activities across studies and projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality process engineering deliverables. Develop and review key process documentation including design criteria, mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing and technical specifications. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes. Contribute to the optimisation of project design, safety, constructability, schedule and cost performance. Lead process design reviews, HAZOPs, value engineering workshops and technical risk assessments. Mentor and support the development of graduate and intermediate engineers. Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practice within the minerals processing sector. Key criteria: Degree qualification in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, with 10+ years' experience in mineral processing design and project delivery, preferably within an EPCM environment. RPEQ registration. Demonstrated experience in the design of base metals, critical minerals and/or gold processing plants - Essential. Experience in the design and implementation of gravity separation, flotation and comminution circuits - Essential. Experience with comminution circuit design, process modelling and simulation using MetSim, SysCAD or similar software - Advantageous. Strong process engineering capability, including development and review of mass balances, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, technical specifications and engineering deliverables. Proven experience leading process design reviews, HAZOPs and technical risk assessments, with sound knowledge of relevant Australian and international standards. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers, engage effectively with clients and stakeholders, and manage project scope, schedule, risk and cost considerations.
