The role coordinates internal teams, delivery partners, developers, councils, utilities and other stakeholders to achieve approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and compliance outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead FTTP and FTTB projects from initiation, construction to commissioning, operational handover and financial close, maintaining approved scope, baselines, milestones and acceptance criteria including records update.

  • Manage purchase orders, invoice validation, accruals, variations, claims, expenditure, forecasting and commercial close within approved delegations and business cases.
  • Direct construction partners and coordinate design teams, ensuring solutions are safe, technically compliant, commercially viable, and constructible.
  • Build effective relationships with developers, builders, councils, utilities, property stakeholders, contractors and internal teams; negotiate timely resolution of access, design and delivery constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with WHSEQ requirements, fibre engineering standards, contracts, utility codes, security controls and regulatory obligations; lead audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain complete project records, including plans, registers, approvals, design mark-ups, method statements, test results and as-built records, and verify accurate GIS updates before handover.
  • Provide matrix leadership and coaching to project officers and junior project managers, lifting delivery capability across planning, design and construction.
  • Undertake other duties reasonably required to support business objectives.

What you’ll bring

  • Ability to work with stakeholders, negotiate and manage contractors
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with GIS platforms, fibre test interpretation and critical-network environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications legislation, local government requirements, safety obligations and relevant industry standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, engineering, project management or a related field.
