What does the job look like?
- Coordinate daily freight collections and transport movements to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Plan and optimise container and load configurations to maximise utilisation and network efficiency.
- Collaborate with operational teams, suppliers, customer service teams and internal stakeholders to execute transport plans.
- Resolve operational challenges and develop practical solutions to maintain service outcomes.
- Monitor transit requirements and proactively plan freight movements to meet delivery commitments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning effectiveness and operational performance.
Are you the one?
- Previous experience in transport operations, either in freight scheduling or planning within a fast paced logistics environment
- A strong understanding of transport networks and the ability to balance customer requirements, utilisation, and service outcomes
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to operational challenges
- Experience planning freight movements, coordinating collections, and managing competing priorities to meet delivery deadlines
- Confidence using transport management and planning systems, including Blue Yonder (BY) or similar systems
- The ability to analyse operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to more efficient planning outcomes
