What you'll be doing
As a Speech Pathologist Level 1/2, you will deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention for paediatric and adult patients experiencing communication and swallowing disorders. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality, person-centred care while continuing to develop your clinical skills.

• Deliver comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment for communication and swallowing disorders.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using ISBAR principles to ensure safe, coordinated care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and achieve departmental performance standards.

• Participate in clinical supervision, continuing professional development, research and quality improvement activities.

• Provide services across facilities, with flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and after-hours as required.

Essential Criteria

• Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology

• Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired swallowing disorders, and experience in the administration of objective swallowing assessment procedures.

2. Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired communication impairments.

3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

4. Demonstrated excellent time management and organisational skills.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of Evidence Based Practice, commitment to professional development and experience in quality management or research.

6. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
