The opportunity
As Mirrastone continues to grow, we are looking for an additional Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our team.
This is a full-time, ongoing position that will predominantly involve travelling between our building sites across Melbourne's North-Western suburbs as well as cover some regional sites from time to time.
You will report to our Work Health and Safety Manager, who is supportive, transparent, engaging and leads by example.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting site safety inspections and reporting findings
Participating in audits and assisting with safety documentation
Ensuring contractors are properly inducted and comply with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation
Conducting onsite toolbox meetings
Reporting incidents, hazards, injuries and near misses
Collating safety data and statistics for company reporting
Assisting with the WHS components of employee and contractor inductions
Supporting and educating employees and contractors on site safety requirements
Continuing to develop your knowledge of residential construction safety and auditing
About you
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working in the Residential Construction space in Australia
Has a genuine passion for workplace safety and compliance
Is eager to learn and build a career within the residential construction industry
Is confident educating and guiding others on safety requirements
Can build strong relationships with employees, contractors, suppliers, regulators and authorities
Has a strong work ethic and takes ownership of their responsibilities
Is comfortable working independently and travelling between sites
Works well as part of a team
Is proficient in Microsoft Office

$70,000-$90,000 base salary plus superannuation
