Injury Management Advisor - Major Infrastructure & Transport Projects

UGL is part of the CIMIC Group, one of Australia's leading engineering, construction and services organisations. Our national Injury Management team supports employees across UGL, CPB Contractors and other CIMIC businesses, partnering with some of the country's largest rail, transport and infrastructure projects.

Due to continued expansion, we're looking for an Injury Management Advisor to join the team in Melbourne or North Sydney. Supporting projects across Victoria and New South Wales, you'll manage a varied portfolio covering workers' compensation, return to work, income protection and fitness for work.

About the role

You'll manage a varied injury management portfolio across Victoria and New South Wales, supporting employees through the full recovery and return-to-work journey. Working closely with leaders, Health and Safety teams and medical providers, you'll provide expert advice across workers' compensation, income protection and fitness-for-work matters to achieve positive outcomes for both employees and the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end injury management across workers' compensation, income protection and return-to-work matters.

  • Support fitness-for-work assessments and pre-employment medical processes, including escalated cases.

  • Work with employees, healthcare providers and rehabilitation specialists to support recovery and positive outcomes.

  • Develop return-to-work plans and guide leaders and site teams on implementing them successfully.

  • Play a key role in helping people stay connected to work while supporting projects across Victoria and New South Wales.

About you

  • Experience employer-side in a similar injury management role with an allied health background.

  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise effectively.

  • Confident working with employees, leaders and healthcare providers.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Enthusiastic, willing to learn and adapt.
