Your New Role
Are you an experienced test leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery expertise?
As Program Test Lead, you'll provide end-to-end testing leadership across the Guardian Program, partnering with technology, business and vendor teams to establish testing strategy, governance, quality controls and delivery assurance across multiple workstreams. This role sits across a team of project Test Managers, including the Senior Test Manager responsible for the Lifetime Income project, and plays a critical role in ensuring testing is planned early, executed effectively and governed consistently across the program.
You'll work closely with delivery partners including Wipro and Deloitte, helping shape and mature the Fund's testing capability while providing leadership across strategy, vendor management, quality governance, risk management and release readiness. While this is a leadership role, the ability to roll up your sleeves and get involved when required is a must.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve the program test strategy, governance framework, quality gates and release readiness approach.
- Lead testing across complex business and technology delivery streams, ensuring alignment across vendors, delivery teams and stakeholders.
- Provide oversight of SIT, UAT, End-to-End, regression, production verification and release activities.
- Drive quality reporting, defect governance, environment readiness and risk management across the program.
- Partner with vendors and delivery teams to establish testing capability across the program ensuring scalable testing practices, processes and controls.
- Provide executive-level visibility of testing progress, risks, dependencies and readiness.
- Lead effective escalation and decision-making processes to reduce delivery risk and support successful outcomes.
What You'll Need
- Significant experience leading testing and quality assurance functions across large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
- Experience building teams and leading business and technology testing through the full testing lifecycle, from strategy and mobilisation through to implementation and production readiness.
- Strong experience developing test strategies, governance frameworks, quality gates and delivery assurance practices.
- Experience managing multi-vendor delivery environments and building strong partnerships with external providers.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
- Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery support when required.
- Strong judgement around escalation, risk management and governance, with the ability to identify issues early and drive resolution.
- Experience operating within large, complex and highly regulated environments.
Highly regarded:
- Superannuation industry experience.
- Experience delivering new superannuation product implementations.
- Experience across Lifetime Income, Advice, Wealth or Insurance programs.
- Financial Services experience.
- ISTQB, Agile, project delivery or leadership certifications.
- Exposure to DevOps, automation testing strategies and cloud environments.
