National Operations Centre Engineer
About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our National Operations Centre (NOC)team.The NOC Engineerisresponsible for monitoringand managing impacts tocritical business technology services,system performanceand capacity, responding toand managing priorityincidents,privileged account management, established system administration management,andsupporting ourafter-hoursIT Serviceteam. In this role, you will play a pivotalpart incollaborating with various IT teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the business,while striving for operational excellence.
Please note this will be a permanent, full-time role based out of our Sydney CBD Office or Melbourne(Mount Waverley) Office.It will involveparticipation inacontinuous shiftroster-working 4 days on and 4 days off. The shift patterns will be made up of 2-day shifts from 7am-7pm and 2-night shifts from 7pm-7am.
Some of your responsibilities will include and are not limited to
- Monitoring and managing critical business services and systems,networksand infrastructure
- Provide after-hours service desk support to users
- Managingpriority incidentsforeffected tieredservices.
- Identifyand address issues before they affect business operations
- Handle and administer privileged accounts securely
Whatyou'llhave done
- Seasoned service desk analyst, NOC orequivalent experience(minimum3years), ideally in a continuous shift operations centre (24/7x365)
- Strong incident management experience either managing or assisting in priority incident process, where theobjectiveis priority service restoration.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking protocolssuch asTCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly, including experience with major incidents
- Familiarity with HL7 and DICOM protocols and general exposure to healthcare sector is highly regarded
- Familiarity with server operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and basic server administration, Cloud and on-prem server architecture
- Experience with technology service monitoring tools for full-stack monitoring - systems, application, and networks such asGrafana, Centreon,Solarwinds, PTRG desirable
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and frameworks (ITIL v3/4)
- Demonstrated experience in delivering exemplary support, customerserviceand training
- Excellent documentation skills for keeping records of issues, resolutions, and operational procedures
- Effective communication with the ability to work as part of a team, especially in a high-pressure environment where collaboration is essential to solving issues
