Client Account Director, Transportation, NSW
Company Description
Lead the relationships that shape our future.
What if your next leadership opportunity wasn't simply about managing an account but about shaping the future of one of AECOM's most important client relationships?
AECOM is seeking an accomplished Client Account Director to lead one of our most significant strategic Platinum accounts across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a senior, high-profile leadership role for an experienced industry professional who can build trusted relationships at the highest levels, bring together AECOM's full breadth of capability and geography, and create sustainable growth through exceptional client service and strategic business development.
You will be at the centre of a relationship where there is significant opportunity to grow AECOM's market share, strengthen our strategic position and create enduring value for our client.

It's about understanding where our client is heading, anticipating their needs and ensuring AECOM is positioned as their partner of choice.
Job Description
The opportunity
As Client Account Director, you will have overall responsibility for the wider corporate relationship with a strategically important AECOM client.
You will act as a senior and highly visible interface between AECOM and the client, developing strong relationships across multiple levels of the organisation and building credibility with key decision-makers.

You'll work across the organisation to ensure the right people, capabilities and teams are aligned to the client's priorities creating a truly integrated AECOM relationship rather than a collection of individual business line engagements.
The role reports to the Business Line Managing Director and is a dedicated, full-time leadership position. Success will be measured through a combination of net service revenue, bookings, gross margin, client satisfaction/NPS and capture rate.
What you'll do
Own the client relationship, you will become a trusted and highly visible senior representative of AECOM to the client.
- Lead the client relationship: Build trusted, multi-level relationships and act as a senior interface between AECOM and the client.
- Drive account strategy and growth: Develop and execute the account plan, identifying opportunities to grow market share while protecting existing revenue.
- Shape major opportunities: Lead and influence strategic pursuits, positioning, teaming and commercial strategies to maximise AECOM's opportunity to win.
- Connect AECOM's capabilities: Bring together expertise across sectors, services and geographies to deliver integrated solutions aligned to client priorities.
- Lead the account team: Build, mentor and inspire a high-performing team, developing the next generation of client leaders.

- Champion client success: Ensure exceptional client experience, proactively understand changing needs and advocate for the client across AECOM.
- Drive commercial outcomes: Lead pipeline development, opportunity capture and negotiations to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
The role requires you to represent the full spectrum of AECOM's capabilities and geographies, rather than operating solely within your own business line.
