At Catholic Healthcare, we’ve been caring for older Australians for 30 years and now have more than 6000 employees. Our Mission is to promote the dignity, life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities.

As our Retirement Living portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Regional Support Specialist with a strong background in retirement village management to provide operational guidance, coaching and support to Village Managers across our villages, helping them deliver safe, high-quality operations and exceptional resident outcomes.

Using your firsthand experience managing a retirement village, you will partner with Village Managers to share best practice, provide practical operational advice, and support them to achieve positive outcomes for their villages. You will help optimise village performance, support occupancy growth, strengthen compliance, and ensure villages operate safely, effectively and in line with Catholic Healthcare standards. This is an influential support role, working collaboratively with Village Managers to build capability, and promote consistent, high-quality operations in our communities where older people can thrive.

While the hybrid role is based at Macquarie Park, frequent travel to Retirement Living Villages in Sydney Metro and the Illawarra is required.

Day to day this role will see you:

  • Provide day-to-day operational guidance and coaching to Village Managers across the region
  • Support villages to achieve occupancy, sales and financial targets
  • Support the development of extra services, including food and beverage operations, that enhance the resident experience and respond to the evolving needs and expectations of our residents.
  • Promote compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Residential Tenancies Act and internal safety systems
  • Support the onboarding of new Village Managers and provide operational support by backfilling Village Manager roles during periods of leave.
  • Work with Marketing, Finance, Property, HR and Home & Community teams to support village performance
  • Assist with asset management planning, preventative maintenance, budgets and capital works projects
  • Represent Retirement Living as a subject matter expert at meetings, resident forums and conferences when required

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Previous management experience in retirement living, hospitality or a similar operational environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the NSW Retirement Villages Act
  • Budget, financial management and asset management experience
  • High level written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with systems
  • Ability to work autonomously while building positive relationships across teams
  • A results-focused, customer-focused and values-led approach
  • Knowledge of Home Care Packages would be highly regarded
  • Driver’s license

What we can offer you:

  • Not-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less tax
  • An additional 7 days leave per year
  • Fitness Passport discounted gym benefits
  • Long service leave after 5 years
  • A values-based organisation welcoming applicants from all faiths and backgrounds

If you’re passionate about operational excellence, resident wellbeing and supporting village communities to thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
