Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity

UGL is the Managing Contractor for the Defence Fuel Network (DFN), supporting critical fuel infrastructure that services Army, Navy and Air Force operations across Australia. As Operations Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the North and Central Victoria region, overseeing a team of Operating Agents across seven Defence Fuel Network sites.

Reporting to the Regional Superintendent, you'll spend time across the region supporting your team, conducting site audits, ensuring compliance with operational and Defence requirements, and helping drive a strong safety culture. You'll be the key link between frontline operations, Defence stakeholders and the broader UGL team, ensuring sites operate safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing leadership, operational oversight and stakeholder engagement while remaining close enough to the operation to understand the day-to-day challenges and support the team when needed.

Requires

• Experience leading operations teams in fuel, oil & gas, petrochemical, aviation fuel or similar industries.

• Strong focus on safety and operational compliance.

• Ability to build relationships with teams, contractors and customers.

• Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to getting things done.

• Current Driver's Licence.

• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Defence clearance.
