Job Description
Join us as a Senior Facade Consultant in our Melbourne Facades and Sustainability team! You will be responsible for delivering highquality facade consulting services, including design, detailing, engineering, documentation, specification, project administration and construction & site quality assurance oversight activities. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects across a diverse range of project sectors. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team environment with the opportunity to work with and lead more junior staff and receive mentoring from experienced colleagues.
You will also be responsible for:
- Delivering and overseeing facade design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, research and analysis, specifications and construction phase support
- Management of complex projects to ensure the efficient, profitable and highquality delivery, including technical strategy, resourcing, risk management, fee support and internal & external coordination
- Financial management of projects via project budgeting, cost control, invoicing oversight, debtor followup and review of financial performance
- Manage client relationships and contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals, presentations as required
- Mentor junior engineers and consultants to foster a collaborative, safe, supportive and highperforming team culture
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering (Structural, civil) or Architectural discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in facade consulting discipline
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex facade projects, including window wall, curtain wall, glazing, cladding and masonry systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting programme, budget and quality requirements
- Experience providing technical leadership on projects, including mentoring junior colleagues and reviewing technical outputs
- Proven understanding of facade performance requirements including structural behaviour, weatherproofing, durability, thermal performance, acoustics and constructability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative mindset and ambition to consistently achieve high standards of work for clients
