ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Privacy and Complaints Officer to join on a Permanent Full-Time basis, working 38 hours a week. Ideally, the successful candidate will be based at our Support Office in Perth CBD, WA. Reporting to the General Manger, Clinical Governance, this position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be part of the Clinical Governance team.

DUTIES

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Single point of contact for all complaints and privacy breaches

  • Uploading details to RiskMan (Risk Management System)

  • Escalating to managers as appropriate

  • Undertaking investigations

  • Working closely with the SCS Legal Team on complex cases

  • Providing investigation training for Managers

  • Reporting on complaints for ISO compliance, and contractual requirements (VIM, DMA, Exec, etc)

  • Assisting and advising on Release of Information requests

  • Privacy Administration responsibilities

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be well organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills together with the following:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of confidentiality around complaints and customer service

  • Good time management skills

  • Ability to work proactively either in a team or autonomously

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Applications and Excel

  • Ability to provide a high level of professionalism in dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience in policy or document writing

  • Occupational Health clinic experience and knowledge highly desirable

  • Experience in quality assurance and auditing requirements highly desirable.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, led by example and possess high levels of commitment and self-motivation

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
