Our Branch The Business Improvement Branch brings together planning, insights and innovation to shape how Public Transport Services evolves. The team focuses on making performance visible, improving decision making and driving better outcomes across the network. The Role The Data & Analytics Lead is responsible for shaping how data, performance insights and reporting enable informed decision-making across Public Transport Services. Working closely with leaders at all levels, you will translate complex information into meaningful insights that drive performance, identify opportunities, and support strategic and operational priorities. You will play a pivotal role in advancing the organisation's data maturity by establishing robust governance frameworks, enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities, and fostering a culture where data is trusted, accessible and used to drive better outcomes for customers, employees and the community. In this role, you will: Lead the development and continuous improvement of enterprise performance frameworks, including KPIs, targets, benchmarks and benefits realisation measures that support strategic and operational objectives deliver meaningful performance insights through modern dashboards, visualisations and reporting that enable leaders to make informed decisions with confidence establish and embed data governance, reporting standards and quality controls to ensure data is trusted, consistent and fit for purpose across the organisation. provide authoritative advice to senior leaders on performance trends, emerging risks, opportunities and priority areas for intervention drive benefits realisation and value tracking, ensuring transformation, technology and improvement initiatives deliver measurable outcomes translate complex operational, customer and financial data into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations that influence decision-making coordinate performance inputs across multiple business areas to create an integrated view of organisational performance and progress against priorities build organisation-wide capability in data literacy and performance management, enabling teams to effectively use data to improve outcomes align performance reporting with strategic planning, operational delivery, transformation programs and continuous improvement initiatives ensure compliance with Council requirements relating to governance, privacy, information management and information security.
