Job Description
A Technical Account Manager III (TAM) is a complex role, operating with significant autonomy, ownership and technical judgement to make recommendations that carry meaningful cost and relationship implications for our customers. A TAM is part product manager, part relationship manager, part technical expert, and part customer whisperer. Success in this position requires strong relationship management skills, a high degree of technical competency, an organized ownership mindset, and the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with client objectives. The TAM will be the primary regional outpost of the Product team, balancing customer business needs against product priorities to help guide roadmap investment and ensure the right areas of focus for the Oceania market.
Key Responsibilities
Deeply understand our clients' business requirements in using the product(s), so you can help solve those in new and innovative ways, as well as guide the product team about regional priorities.
Identify and analyze underlying business requirements, providing expert recommendations on the most effective solutions and alternative approaches.
Maintain a deep understanding of each client's environment, including its configuration and operational nuances, to provide informed, environment-specific support.
Take end-to-end accountability for complex technical investigations, owning the outcome regardless of how many teams are involved in getting there, keeping the teams focused on getting the right business outcome for your clients.
Proactively make it your mission to ensure that our clients have the best deployment configuration that we can bring to them. If you solve a problem before the clients knows it exists, you're succeeding.
Drive investigations toward clear next actions, removing blockers and maintaining momentum on complex technical escalations.
Be accountable for making sure our product roadmap is as good as it can be for our regional cleints, noting that you don't directly control it -use your skills to move the product team forward, helping them make trade-offs.
Validate and reconcile technical findings from multiple sources, ensuring recommendations are evidence based, technically sound, and commercially appropriate before being communicated to clients.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of experience managing complex technical accounts or programs in the software industry, with preference for healthcare IT environments.
Experience with React/PHP/SQL Server stack
Strong technical aptitude with working knowledge of healthcare IT systems, integrations, medical imaging workflows, and interoperability standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR, or IHE)
Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build credibility at both technical and executive levels
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional working sessions with clear outcomes, accountability, and follow-through
Experience troubleshooting applications, hardware, drivers, OS, networking services etc.
Experience mobilizing cross-functional teams to execute planned business outcomes and strategic initiatives
Available for client engagement across multiple Australian time zones and occasional travel to client sites
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive healthcare data in strict compliance with applicable privacy regulations
Ability to manage multiple complex accounts concurrently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements
2+ years of hands-on experience with Intelerad products or equivalent healthcare IT platforms a plus
Experience working closely with R&D, SRE, or Professional Services teams within a software delivery environment
Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar issue and workflow management platforms
