THE POSITION:
To assist as a facility maintenance attendant in maintenance, cleaning, equipment set up and general operations and customer service at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre.

    EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

    • Based on a 38 hour week, working on a casual basis, with actual days and times to be negotiated with the supervisor, with no RDO.
    • Stadium Operational Hours are 8.30am - 11.00pm, these times may vary due to operational requirements and will be determined by the supervisor. Weekend and evening work will be required.
    • Hours worked on weekends will attract the appropriate loadings.
    • This position requires you to wear a compulsory uniform as per AlburyCity's Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
    • This position involves working both indoor and outdoor. Possible computer work and a moderate amount of physical activity may also be required, depending on the nature of the tasks undertaken. Appropriate WHS standards will be applied for all manual handing activity. A full functional and medical assessment is required for this position.
    • This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check.
    • This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing
    • This position is located at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre with occasional visits to external sites/depots and AlburyCity Administration Building as required.

    ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

    • Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)

    DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

    • Current First Aid Certificate

    SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of cleaning, cash handling, sweeper operations, evacuation, public relations, and property maintenance assessment

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Court maintenance - Dust mop and Wash courts - (by hand or by floor scrubber).
    • Provide front of house customer service functions at the Sports Centre, which includes managing ticketing and entry, answering telephone and cover at reception.
    • Facility Cleaning:
      • Toilets - men's/ladies/disabled
      • Foyer - carpet & tiled areas
      • Front entry - outside tile area
      • Vacuum - carpeted grandstand
      • Rubbish bins - remove rubbish, clean bins
      • Change rooms - sweep/wash
      • Windows and glass doors - clean
    • General maintenance and repairs duties as required
    • Outdoor grounds maintenance
    • Reception/Cafe/General operations
    • Assist customers with inquiries
    • Assist with running of stadium sports and general enquiries for user groups
    • Provide information concerning competitions and events
    • Provide telephone reception information when required
    • Provide sales assistance in the operation of the cafe
    • Operate cash registers for cafe sales and competitions
    • Balance cash registers, eftpos - count check and total takings
    • Leave messages for staff, management as required in diary
    • Complete Daily Job List and sign off when necessary
    • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
    • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
