About the Role

Reporting to the Project team, the Yardperson will be responsible for maintaining the yard, supporting site logistics, handling materials and equipment, and ensuring a safe and organised work environment.

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Current Manual Driver's Licence (Essential)
  • Previous experience in a yardperson, stores, labouring or similar role
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and reliable work ethic

Desirable Qualifications

  • Forklift Licence (Highly Regarded)
  • Experience working in mining, construction or heavy industry environments
  • Basic mechanical aptitude

Residential Requirement

This is a residential position and applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to:

  • West Wyalong
  • Forbes
  • Or surrounding regional communities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard environment
  • Assist with receiving, unloading and dispatching materials and equipment
  • Conduct general housekeeping and yard maintenance duties
  • Support tradespeople and operational personnel as required
  • Operate site vehicles and equipment in accordance with procedures
  • Participate in safety initiatives and comply with all site requirements
