Delaware North Australia is hiring hospitality professionals to join us for the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival and Cox Plate, two of Australia's most iconic racing events. Be part of the excitement and energy of the Spring Racing Carnival, delivering exceptional experiences across premium dining rooms, exclusive marquees, private suites, bars and hospitality venues at Flemington Racecourse.

Whether you're serving guests trackside, crafting premium cocktails, or delivering exceptional table service, you'll play a key role in bringing the Melbourne Cup Carnival experience to life. You'll also have the opportunity to work across our renowned venues, including the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Marvel Stadium, with an exciting calendar of international sport, concerts and premium hospitality experiences ahead. What you will do?

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service in premium hospitality environments
• Provide professional and personalised service to guests
• Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails where required
• Share menu and beverage knowledge to enhance the guest experience
• Demonstrate confidence when discussing wine and beverage offerings
• Maintain high service standards while working in a fast-paced event environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless event delivery

More about you

• Previous food and beverage experience in hospitality, events, restaurants, hotels, or premium venues
• Experience in premium dining, corporate hospitality, or high-end service environments highly regarded
• Skilled in cocktail preparation and service highly desirable
• Strong wine knowledge and confidence making recommendations to guests is highly desirable
• Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Availability to work key Spring Racing Carnival event dates, including weekends and public holidays

Key event dates include Melbourne Cup Carnival race days and Cox Plate events from 24 October to 7 November 2026.
