As a Graduate Transport Designer, you'll gain hands-on experience across a broad range of transport infrastructure projects, from major highways, intersections and access roads through to active transport facilities, road safety programs and public transport upgrades Working alongside experienced designers, engineers and project managers, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of projects that improve the way Queensland communities connect and move.

What will you be doing day to day?

Assisting with the design of roads, intersections, drainage systems, active transport facilities and other civil infrastructure using AutoCAD and 12D design software.

Undertaking three dimensional model reviews and clash detection.

Applying BIM and digital engineering standards across project deliverables.

Preparing design calculations, quantities and technical documentation.

Reviewing survey information, aerial imagery and existing infrastructure data.

Supporting the development of concept, preliminary and detailed design packages.

Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including traffic, structural, environmental and utilities specialists.

Attending project meetings, workshops and design reviews.

Assisting with responses to Contractor and Client queries during design and construction.

Learning and applying Austroads, TMR and industry design standards.

Participating in mentoring, technical training and professional development programs.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent

  • Passion for learning and problem-solving

  • Australian Citizen, PR or NZ Citizen.

  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
