Carry out and organise general maintenance and groundskeeping services for our village residents, staff and visitors as our Maintenance All-Rounder at the lovely Bernborough Ascot.

Your Day on a Page:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a reliable and dedicated Maintenance All-Rounder to join our dynamic team at our Bernborough Ascot village.
Located beside the iconic Doomben Racecourse, Bernborough Ascot is a vibrant community with beautifully maintained spaces that create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Everything here is designed to bring out the best in our team and our community.
In this role, you’ll focus primarily on the general upkeep of our grounds, while also assisting with maintenance tasks.
Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to grounds care and 30% to general maintenance.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on tools and machinery
- Maintain outdoor spaces including carparks, footpaths and decking areas
- Monitor and implement nutrient programs to support plant health
- Maintain and clean the swimming pool in line with safety standards
- Inspect grounds for hazards and complete required repairs
- Remove rubbish and debris, and maintain outdoor signage and lighting
- Assist with general maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Drive the village bus when required (valid driver’s licence preferred)
About You
You will bring experience as a grounds person, maintenance assistant, or a similar handson role, along with the following:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, apps)
- Understanding of machinery and tools used in grounds and maintenance work
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and contribute to a team
- Internal training and onsite inductions will be provided.
