As an Engineer - Data Centre Services, you will play a hands-on role in supporting the resilience, performance, and efficiency of NSW Health's enterprise data centres. Working within the Data Centre Management team, you will help manage eHealth Tenancy within in a Co-Lo Datacentre Environment-Ensuring 24/7 Availability of critical network-compute and Storage infrastructure - while contributing to ongoing modernisation initiatives such as automation, hybrid cloud integration and sustainability practices.
You will support the Product Owner - Data Centre Services by delivering day to day operational tasks, infrastructure upgrades, and continuous improvements that strengthen the reliability, compliance and future readiness of eHealth NSW's digital health ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver physical data centre work including racking, cabling and patching to maintain stable and secure connectivity.
- Monitor and maintain environmental conditions to ensure power, cooling and infrastructure meet operational requirements.
- Support ITIL aligned incident, problem and change processes to maintain high service quality.
- Maintain accurate asset and configuration records for compliance and audit readiness.
- Assist with capacity planning across rack space, compute and storage environments.
- Contribute to resilience and vendor activities, including DR testing and onsite support at Unanderra and Silverwater.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong hands on experience with physical data centre operations including racking, cabling and patching.
- Understands the basic concept within the Tenancy environment-such as power and cooling and operational resilience
- Brings experience with ITIL aligned operations and maintains accurate documentation and asset records.
- Supports capacity planning and lifecycle activities with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Communicates effectively with vendors and service providers, contributing to performance and issue resolution.
- Ideally has exposure to virtualisation, automation, hybrid cloud integration or NSW Government data centre environments.
