About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to residents within the Residential Aged Care facility while also supporting community clients receiving aged care services in their own homes. You'll be responsible for clinical assessment, care planning, medication management, care coordination and supervising Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you'll promote person-centred care, advocate for residents and clients, and contribute to continuous quality improvement across the service. This varied role offers the opportunity to practise across residential aged care and community nursing while enjoying the diversity of rural healthcare.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships.
  • The ability to prioritise workload, work autonomously and respond effectively to changing clinical needs.
