We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Administrator to join our IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants broad, hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-growing SaaS company.
Reporting to the IT Manager in a small team of two, the Junior IT Administrator will be the first point of contact for internal IT support across the business. You will be based onsite in our Sydney office Monday to Friday and will be supporting our team Australia wide, in person and remotely.
Responsibilities
First point of contact for IT support requests
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across a mixed fleet of Windows and Mac devices, monitors, docks, mobile devices and accessories
Liaise with software providers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
Administer user accounts and manage devices in our directory / MDM platform (JumpCloud)
Assist with the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, including network switches, wireless access points and routers
Support our SaaS stack including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Slack, Zoom, Salesforce and similar
Support our team in the use of AI tools
AV support in meeting rooms and studio setup, including Zoom Rooms, iPhones, microphones, sound mixers and lighting
Assist with the day-to-day operations of our cyber security suite (CrowdStrike and Cloudflare) and assist with routine security tasks including software updates and audit log reviews
Maintain and update the asset register
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of staff, setup of new hardware, disposal of end-of-life hardware, and provisioning and deprovisioning of software licences
Assist with office moves, desk setups and IT projects
Ensure documentation is created, maintained and kept up to date
What you bring
Essential
1-2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, or a relevant IT qualification
Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities
Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
Solid understanding of macOS and Windows desktop environments
Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Experience supporting productivity suites like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
Experience with MDM platforms like JumpCloud, Jamf, Intune or similar
Experience supporting and using communication tools like Slack, Zoom or similar
Experience providing AV / meeting room support to staff, with exposure to platforms like Zoom Rooms or Microsoft Teams Rooms
Exposure to cybersecurity tools like CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Microsoft Defender or similar.
Experience with onboarding and offboarding staff
Desirable
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN).
Exposure to IT projects and/or new product rollouts
Interest in cybersecurity and AI
Experience or exposure to office moves and desk setups
