We're looking for an experienced Environmental Business Partner who is passionate about protecting the environment while supporting the successful delivery of essential energy infrastructure. In this role, you'll partner with project teams from the earliest planning stages through to project completion, helping to embed environmental best practice into everything we do. You'll build trusted relationships across the business, provide expert guidance, and empower our people to make informed environmental decisions that create positive outcomes for our clients, communities and the environment. About the Role As our Environmental Business Partner, you'll be a trusted advisor to project and construction teams across Queensland and New South Wales. You'll play an important role in ensuring environmental compliance while supporting practical, sustainable solutions that enable successful project delivery. From developing environmental management plans and obtaining approvals through to mentoring project teams and supporting incident investigations, you'll help create a culture where environmental stewardship is everyone's responsibility. What You'll Be Doing You'll work alongside project teams to: Implement project specific environmental management plans, approval and permit conditions Develop project-specific environmental, work instructions, environmental control plans and supporting documentation. Partner with clients and regulators to obtain environmental approvals and build positive working relationships. Provide practical environmental advice throughout the project lifecycle. Identify environmental risks and collaborate with teams to develop effective, workable controls. Coach and support project personnel and subcontractors to build confidence and capability in environmental management. Monitor environmental performance, compliance and key performance indicators. Prepare environmental reports for clients and internal stakeholders. Undertake environmental audits, inspections and assurance activities. Support environmental incident investigations, learning and continuous improvement. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our Environmental Management System. About You We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, sharing knowledge and working with others to achieve positive environmental outcomes. You'll bring: A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline. At least five years' experience in an environmental role, ideally within construction, utilities or infrastructure. A strong understanding of environmental legislation and environmental management systems (ISO 14001). Experience in working on site projects in partnership with the Construction team. The ability to communicate technical information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A collaborative approach with a genuine interest in supporting and developing others. Desirable: Experience supporting major infrastructure or power projects. For this role we will consider a 3:1 working roster, or Monday to Friday working days. The role will be based in Gladstone region and would like someone living in the region.
