We're looking for a Workforce Planning & Transition Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering workforce strategies that support strategic growth, workforce transformation and evolving capability needs across the Group. Working at the forefront of workforce redesign, talent mobility and reskilling, you'll help bridge business strategy with practical workforce solutions that create meaningful outcomes for both our people and the organisation.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Workforce Planning, you'll partner with senior business leaders, Practice Leads and specialist People teams to design and deliver workforce plans that respond to changing business needs, emerging technologies and future capability requirements.
This role plays a critical orchestration role across workforce planning, work redesign, reskilling and transition initiatives, ensuring our people are supported through change and positioned for future opportunities. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Talent Acquisition, Learning, Employee Relations, People Analytics and Transformation teams to develop practical, evidence-based workforce solutions that deliver lasting impact
Some key responsibilities
- Leading the development of strategic workforce plans, including demand and supply analysis, capability assessments and workforce transition strategies.
- Designing and orchestrating workforce transition, reskilling and talent mobility plans that support both business priorities and employee outcomes.
- Building compelling business cases to secure investment in workforce transition, capability uplift and reskilling initiatives.
- Driving pilot programs through planning and implementation, ensuring clear governance, success measures and delivery outcomes.
- Using workforce insights and data to identify capability gaps, future workforce needs and opportunities for workforce optimisation.
About you
We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded workforce professional who thrives in complex, evolving environments and enjoys bringing people together to solve challenging workforce problems.
Given the nature of this role you will be naturally curious and adaptable, you're comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating structure in complex environments, bringing others on the journey through periods of transformation and change
You will bring:
- Strong experience in Workforce Transformation or Workforce Transition roles within a large, complex organisation.
- A sound understanding of work redesign, workforce transition, talent mobility, and reskilling principles.
- The ability to translate business strategy, technology change and operating model shifts into practical workforce solutions and action plans.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across senior leadership groups, business representatives and specialist People functions and foster robust collaboration.
- Experience developing business cases, evaluating workforce risks and balancing competing priorities to inform strategic decisions.
You're equally comfortable working in the detail and influencing at a strategic level, combining strong problem solving capability with exceptional communication skills. You enjoy bringing together diverse groups of people and perspectives, and facilitating collaboration to align on joint recommendations. You can identify workforce trends, assess future capability needs and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, while confidently engaging senior leaders and executive stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
