About the role

The Administration Officer provides a broad range of support services for the National School across its teaching, learning, and research activities. The role also works closely with the Administration Coordinator to ensure the effective management, coordination, and day-to-day operations of the National School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for teaching, learning, and research activities, including coordinating meetings, events, committees, and teaching programs.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to students, staff, and University stakeholders.
  • Manage correspondence, records, data entry, reports, and other administrative documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide financial support, including processing invoices, purchase orders, payments.
  • Maintain School facilities, office equipment, and supplies.
  • Apply University policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
  • Undertake other duties and training as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Diploma qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Proven administration experience in a fast-paced environment, with higher education experience highly regarded.
  • Sound knowledge of administrative policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
