Apply Job no: H7F97 THE OPPORTUNITY PHE Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer who is interested in joining a growing Engineering team which supports a diverse organisation by providing specialised engineering services in mining, hydro power generation, remote gas power generation plants, pulp and paper manufacturing, and timber processing industries. The successful applicants will be engaged in a supportive environment and encouraged to develop technical skills and knowledge. In this role, you will: Assist with scoping projects, site investigations, estimating and back drafting. Support site maintenance and project teams with construction queries. Design of general lighting, power, and ancillary services. Vendor package integration into an overall design. Perform design reviews, peer review engineering documentation and contribute to safety in design workshops. Perform Front End Engineering Design for our clients. Perform electrical calculations. Understanding EPC and EPCM culture goals. ABOUT YOU: A bachelor's degree qualification in Engineering (satisfying the eligibility requirements for membership with Engineers Australia). 3-5 years' experience working within a heavy industry. A sound knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards. Experience in preparing detailed electrical & instrumentation design packages, schematics, termination diagrams, switchboard design and verification. Experience in preparing cable schedules, project schedules and supporting project related documents. Experience in control systems, architecture, PLC/RTU programming, functional specifications, and SCADA. Experience with engineering software for electrical design (AutoCAD, PowerCAD, SKM PTW, ETAP, PowerFactory).
