About the role We're looking for a sustainability specialist with a passion for driving best practice outcomes across infrastructure projects. As a Specialist - Sustainable Infrastructure, you'll be part of our Asset Strategy team within our Assets Planning & Delivery Group. This 8 month fixed term opportunity is based at our Leederville office providing expert technical advice, tools, and support to ensure Water Corporation's infrastructure is planned, designed, and delivered as sustainably as possible. What the role will involve Lead the development and application of Sustainability Management Plans for major capital projects Manage Infrastructure Sustainability Rating processes with external design and construction teams and internal stakeholders Facilitate workshops to align project teams on project sustainability objectives Identify and embed emerging sustainability practices from the infrastructure sector Act as a subject matter expert, coaching teams on how to integrate best practice sustainability in project planning, design and construction phases Promote consistency in sustainable practices across all infrastructure programs Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and the Infrastructure Sustainability Council About you You'll hold a degree in Engineering, Science, or within a sustainability related discipline, ideally with experience in developing and implementing Sustainability Management Plans and delivering Infrastructure Sustainability ratings on major capital projects. With a strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, industry standards, and best-practice approaches within the infrastructure sector, you'll be confident in driving sustainable outcomes across major capital projects. Your demonstrated coaching experience will guide and support our project teams in achieving sustainability objectives, along with excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement to build trusted relationships and effectively influence both our internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
