About the Role
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day coordination of the Communities for Children program, ensuring effective delivery across diverse locations and stakeholders. You will work closely with community partners to deliver high-quality, culturally safe and responsive programming.
Day to day you will be
- Leading the ongoing coordination and implementation of the CfC program across Palmerston and Tiwi Islands
- Providing day-to-day support to subcontractors, ensuring delivery aligns with program objectives, funding requirements, and community needs
- Managing program finances, monitoring budgets and supporting delivery within funding agreements
- Overseeing reporting, data collection, monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate impact and inform continuous improvement
- Ensuring strong safeguarding practices and compliance with Red Cross policies and relevant legislation
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with community members, stakeholders, and service providers
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen program delivery, improve systems and reduce risk
What you will bring
- Sound experience in the implementation, coordination and delivery of volunteer led programs/projects
- Experience working with volunteers/community members
- Experience in delivering project/program outcomes
- Ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work and that other staff and/or volunteers as required
- Sound discipline knowledge working within community-based programs gained through experience, training or education
A current, valid Ochre Card, or the ability to obtain one, is a mandatory requirement of this role
