About the Role

In this role, you will lead the day-to-day coordination of the Communities for Children program, ensuring effective delivery across diverse locations and stakeholders. You will work closely with community partners to deliver high-quality, culturally safe and responsive programming.

Day to day you will be

  • Leading the ongoing coordination and implementation of the CfC program across Palmerston and Tiwi Islands
  • Providing day-to-day support to subcontractors, ensuring delivery aligns with program objectives, funding requirements, and community needs
  • Managing program finances, monitoring budgets and supporting delivery within funding agreements
  • Overseeing reporting, data collection, monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate impact and inform continuous improvement
  • Ensuring strong safeguarding practices and compliance with Red Cross policies and relevant legislation
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with community members, stakeholders, and service providers
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen program delivery, improve systems and reduce risk

What you will bring

  • Sound experience in the implementation, coordination and delivery of volunteer led programs/projects
  • Experience working with volunteers/community members
  • Experience in delivering project/program outcomes
  • Ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work and that other staff and/or volunteers as required
  • Sound discipline knowledge working within community-based programs gained through experience, training or education

A current, valid Ochre Card, or the ability to obtain one, is a mandatory requirement of this role
