The Victorian State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) operates and maintains over $1 billion assets including four of Australia’s largest multi-sport venues, the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), the State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium incorporating the State Athletics Centre, and Knox Regional Sports Park including the State Basketball Centre (SBC).
Unlike other major international standard venues that host sport and entertainment events, SSCT venues also provide access for users at all levels, from elite and professional athletes to school and community participants 7 days per week, up to 16 hours a day.

About the role:
As the Programs Supervisor, you will play a key role in creating safe, engaging and positive experiences for children participating in our programs at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre. Reporting to the Programs Team Leader, you will coordinate and support the delivery of high-quality children's programs while ensuring the highest standards of safety, inclusion and customer experience.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering quality children's programs that create positive experiences for participants.
- Coordinating and supporting program staff to ensure consistent delivery of activities and compliance with operating procedures.
- Ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe environment, with a strong focus on child safety and supervision.
- Encouraging participation and inclusion by adapting activities to suit the needs of all children where appropriate.
- Planning and delivering activities including warm-ups, drills, games and cool-downs that promote health, safety and enjoyment.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, teachers and colleagues through enthusiastic and professional communication.
- Responding to and reporting incidents, injuries and equipment issues while maintaining a safe environment for participants.
- Providing training, guidance and support to new and existing team members to maintain service quality and compliance standards.
- Completing administrative duties and contributing to the continual improvement of programs and operations.
Required skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate engaging children's activities to a high standard.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, schools and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and commitment to safety.
- Proven leadership, collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee).
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Australian working rights.
