Gallagher Bassett is looking for a values-led workers compensation leader who cares deeply about people, culture and the communities we serve, and who wants to help shape the future of our NSW Nominal Insurer business.

You do not need to have held a General Manager title before. What matters is your proven ability to lead through complexity, bring teams together and create an environment where strong technical capability, deep claims experience, care and teamwork combine to deliver meaningful outcomes for injured workers, employers, our people and the broader community.

This role will suit someone ready to take the next step in their leadership career, with support around them, to build high-performing teams, deliver scheme-leading technical capability and sustainable return to work outcomes at scale. You will derive energy from working closely with our staff and customers, understanding the importance of being physically and emotionally present for them.


How you'll make an impact

  • Lead and inspire a large workers' compensation operation, delivering outstanding client and customer outcomes.
  • Drive performance against operational, financial, service and quality targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organisational and customer objectives..
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and service enhancement.
  • Partner with executive leaders to support business growth, transformation and strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration and performance excellence.
