About Role

In this role, you will provide clinical psychology services to and clinical leadership within psychology to Adult Drug Court clients. You will also provide quality consumer-focused, evidence-based psychological services to patients/clients and carers in order to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the patients/clients of the service.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• You will be expected to hold a caseload of Adult Drug Court clients, providing both counselling and case management.
• You will be required to prepare regular court reports detailing the progress of clients under their case management.
• You may be required to attend the Downing Centre Drug Court to participate in meetings and support clients on
• particular occasions, such as graduation from the Adult Drug Court Program.
• You will be expected to actively participate as a member of the Adult Drug Court multidisciplinary team, including attendance at weekly case review meetings, safety huddles, and other team activities.
• You will share a leadership role within the team, working collaboratively with the other senior clinicians, including the Clinical Nurse Consultant, Senior Social Worker, and Senior Occupational Therapist.

Ideal Candidate

• Current registration with AHPRA and must hold a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA.
• Clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience in the provision of clinical psychology interventions, demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy in the field of Drug and alcohol. Demonstrated skills in working with families.
• Experience working within a forensic setting would be an advantage.
• Experience working with survivors of child sexual abuse would be an advantage.
