About the role:
This is a temporary full-time position within our department working as the Senior Occupational Therapist in acute inpatients (Orthopaedics, Renal Medicine and Infectious Diseases). This position will be responsible for a clinical caseload as well as supervising Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists within the team. We are seeking strong leadership in this space and there are various other roles and responsibilities you will have as a Senior clinician in our department. This position is part of the Acute stream within our department meaning you will be working alongside other acute senior clinicians and Level 1/2 staff. You will get the opportunity to lead great QI initiatives, while also enhancing the clinical & professional development of teaching Level 1/ 2 staff in other acute clinical caseloads.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Degree or Diploma recognised by AAOT-NSW
Registration: Registered OT through AHPRA
Selection Criteria
Significant post-graduate clinical experience in Occupational Therapy with demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy services within an inpatient caseload, including complex discharge planning (including NDIS).
Demonstrated high level communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise service needs, own caseload, and competing demands.
Experience in providing clinical supervision to Occupational Therapists and / or students.
Demonstrated self-directed learning, and interest in quality activities and evidence-based practice.
Ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
Demonstrated willingness to uphold NSW Health CORE Values.
Hold a current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence.
