About the Opportunity
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Patient Transport Nurse Escort to join us in this meaningful and dynamic role. Your nursing expertise will be essential in ensuring safe, timely, and quality care for patients during transfers - often in out-of-hospital settings where critical thinking, adaptability, and strong clinical judgement are vital.


As the Patient Transport Nurse Escort, you will:

  • Provide person-centred nursing care while accompanying patients during transport between hospitals and other health facilities across NSW.
  • Work in partnership with individuals and families, external providers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe quality care outcomes.
  • Respond confidently to changing clinical situations, including emergencies during transport.
  • Participate in education, audits, WHS reviews and service improvements that enhance transport and patient outcomes.

About You:

  • Our ideal can Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (RN).
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Sound clinical judgement and problem-solving abilities, with confidence in working in unpredictable and fast-changing environments.
  • Being able to assess and evaluate patient suitability for transport, including before transport and during transport within the MLHD.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel long distances
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Willingness to drive
