What you'll be doing
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative assistance in all aspects of dentistry within the guidelines set by the Dental Assistants State Award.
The Dental Assistant will promote attendance and assist with the follow-up of individuals and their families in relation to Dental Health programs. This is a temporary contract with opportunity for ongoing employment.
About You
You are a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, equivalent qualifications, or extensive practical experience supporting the delivery of high-quality oral healthcare services. You have a strong understanding of dental procedures and are experienced in assisting dental clinicians across a broad range of treatments, ensuring patients receive safe, efficient and professional care.
You possess a thorough knowledge of current dental infection prevention and control standards and consistently maintain a clean, safe and compliant clinical environment. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to interact effectively with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals, contributing to a positive patient experience and a collaborative team culture. You are committed to achieving performance goals, supporting service excellence, and working closely with the dental team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
With strong computer literacy, including experience using electronic patient records and office software applications, you are able to manage administrative and clinical support tasks accurately and efficiently. Adaptable and reliable, you hold a current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and are willing to travel and work across multiple locations, providing flexible support where it is needed most.
