Join Epworth Richmond's expert ABI and Neurological Rehabilitation team as a Grade 2 Physiotherapist in a 0.6 EFT parental leave role until September 2027. As this role is part of a job share arrangement, the successful candidate will work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, providing continuity of care while collaborating closely with colleagues across the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality rehabilitation care to patients with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions. Working alongside experienced clinicians, you'll play a key role in helping patients maximise their recovery and achieve meaningful rehabilitation outcomes, while further developing your expertise in a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and supervise junior physiotherapists and students, while contributing to quality improvement, research and service development initiatives that help shape best-practice neurological rehabilitation services.

How you'll make a difference:

• Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions
• Facilitate recovery, promote neuroplasticity and maximise functional outcomes through evidence-based rehabilitation interventions
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised rehabilitation programs that support each patient's goals
• Empower patients, families and carers through education, support and effective discharge planning to optimise long-term outcomes
• Contribute to quality improvement, research and service development activities that enhance neurological rehabilitation practice
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy students

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in neurological rehabilitation, with exposure to acquired brain injury and complex neurological presentations
• Strong physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning and rehabilitation skills within an inpatient setting
• Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, with confidence managing a diverse caseload
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and patient-centred approach
• A passion for neurological rehabilitation and a commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and professional development

• Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council
• Current physiotherapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
