About The Service
KU Bradfield Park Children's Centre is a 53-place service in the heart of West Lindfield that caters for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.
With an emphasis on an inclusive environment, children feel like they belong and are encouraged to play, discover and learn. The service has specially designed indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage children to explore and learn within a nurturing environment. Well known within the local community for their focused, play based education approach, the team also has a commitment to sustainability, and gardening and a strong interest in infant and toddler pedagogy.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join the team working 2 days per week, Thursday and Friday (16 hours per week) on a rotating roster.
This is a fixed term contract until April 2027 and provides access to our casual pool.
You will be joining a truly dedicated team along with all of the KU learning resources at your disposal.
About the criteria
Along with relevant working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) and a sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), you will need:
- Proven teamwork experience
- An ability to mentor and lead other educators
- To be available to work 8 hours every Thursday and Friday (16 hours per week) on a rotating roster.
About Compliance
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- Australian working rights
- A current and valid NSW Working with Children Check
- An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
- NESA Teacher Accreditation
- A National Child Safety Training Certificate (through Geccko)
- A completed training in Child Protection (CHCPRT025) and an understanding of the legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) with separate Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (22556VIC & 22578VIC) & CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
