Hamilton Island's Spa Wumurdaylin is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Spa Therapist to join our luxury wellness team. Offering a range of specialised holistic spa, massage and skincare therapies, our tranquil spa features eleven treatment rooms, including three couples' rooms, two Vichy shower rooms and two rain shower rooms. In this senior role, you'll deliver exceptional treatments while mentoring therapists, maintaining premium service standards, and creating unforgettable guest experiences in tropical paradise.

Your Role
As a Senior Spa Therapist, you will lead by example in delivering exceptional spa experiences while supporting the day-to-day operations of the spa. You'll mentor and coach fellow therapists, maintain the highest treatment standards, drive retail performance, and ensure every guest receives personalised, luxury service.

- Deliver exceptional massage, body, and spa treatments to luxury standards
- Mentor, coach, and support Spa Therapists to achieve service excellence
- Assist with the daily operation and presentation of the spa
- Promote retail products and achieve weekly and monthly sales targets
- Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and spa facilities to impeccable standards
- Monitor stock levels of linen, robes, slippers, and treatment supplies
- Provide expert treatment recommendations and personalised skincare advice
- Create memorable guest experiences through exceptional service
- Support training initiatives and uphold Spa Wumurdaylin service standards
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism
What we're looking for
We're looking for a confident and experienced Spa Therapist who is passionate about luxury wellness and guest care. You'll be a natural leader with the ability to mentor others, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and deliver outstanding service in a premium spa environment.
To be successful, you will need
- Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Massage Therapy (Essential)
- Certification in Deep Tissue and/or Remedial Massage (Essential)
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a luxury spa environment (Essential)
- Previous experience mentoring or leading spa team members (Essential)
- Strong retail sales ability and product knowledge
- Exceptional communication and guest service skills
- Impeccable grooming and professional presentation
- Current Open Driver Licence (Desirable)
