Apply Job no: 17868 About the role We're looking for a hands-on Pipeline Operator to join our Gladstone-based team, supporting the safe operation and maintenance of the Queensland Gas Pipeline (QGP) and associated facilities. This is a diverse field-based role where no two days are the same. You could be carrying out mechanical maintenance on compressors, valves and gas processing equipment, conducting pipeline patrols, responding to asset issues, or supporting major improvement projects. You'll join a close-knit team responsible for maintaining approximately 900km of critical gas pipeline infrastructure. With significant investment planned to extend the life of the QGP, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to asset renewal projects while building long-term skills within the gas transmission industry. Key Responsibilities include Perform planned and corrective maintenance on pipeline and facility assets Conduct pipeline patrols, inspections and asset surveillance activities Operate and maintain gas transmission equipment Respond to incidents and support emergency response activities Liaise with contractors, landholders and key stakeholders Support project delivery, commissioning and contractor supervision Contribute to the safe and reliable operation of critical gas infrastructure Roster: 9-day fortnight (supporting work-life balance) and participation in an on-call roster. To be successful, you'll bring: Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or Certificate III Gas Supply Industry Operations Experience in maintenance, operations or asset management within gas, energy, processing, resources, utilities or similar industries Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Current Driver's Licence and White Card Ability to work independently and manage your own workload A proactive approach to safety, problem-solving and continuous improvement Who We Are Zinfra is a leading partner in the design, build, operation and maintenance of Australia's energy and utilities infrastructure.
