About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity now exists for a Project Supervisor to join Programmed, responsible for supporting the planning, design, and delivery of minor capital projects for a key water authority client across metropolitan Melbourne

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Supervisor is accountable for coordination of onsite subcontractors and technicians and leading from the front by displaying a commitment to safety and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity where you will contribute to the team by building relationships with key contacts, stakeholders and service providers while ensuring the scheduled delivery of small to medium value works across multiple sites.

This role is predominantly based at the Melbourne Water Western Treatment Plant (Cocoroc, VIC) but will require travel to other Melbourne Water Sites.

Nature of the position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Western Treatment Plant, Cocoroc, VIC

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage safety of all employees and subcontractors on site
  • Manage, Lead and Support a team of Technicians
  • Ensure safety documentation and other operational documents are reviewed in accordance with site & client requirements
  • Carrying out completion and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with Project Team and assists in scoping and pricing works
  • Develop an excellent working relationship with the client
  • On site interaction with key stakeholders and subcontractors

About You

  • Proven experience in a construction environment
  • Trade background highly desired (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors
  • A strong understanding of regulations and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Strong safety focus and commitment to maintain a safe working environment
  • Strong Leadership skills to support the team
