What you'll be doing
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will provide comprehensive echocardiography services that support the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease. Working closely with cardiologists and fellow sonographers, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while contributing to outstanding patient care.
Perform high-quality echocardiography in accordance with ASUM, NSW Health and departmental protocols.
Prioritise inpatient and outpatient examinations to meet clinical demands and response times.
Adapt examination techniques to obtain comprehensive diagnostic information for each patient.
Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
Participate in the 24/7 on-call roster and actively contribute to ongoing professional development.

Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac)
Registration: Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry
Selection Criteria
Accredited by the Australian Sonographer accreditation registry.
Postgraduate qualifications in Medical Sonography (Cardiac).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment towards a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Computer literacy.

Demonstrate high standard of practice within the profession, through the active involvement in areas such as conferences, lectures, seminars, continuing education or professional development.
