With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enriching health, and develop your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

Achieve Something Great
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering highquality research support and evidencebased information services across the Hospitals. In this role you will:

  • Coordinate literature search services, assist staff with research projects and systematic reviews, and contribute to research data management, research metrics, and scholarly publishing.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive research skills program, supported by online learning resources that promote independent learning.
  • Work closely with departments and individual staff, building strong collaborative relationships that enhance patient care, professional development, and research outcomes.
  • Identify, catalogue, and promote the archival collection to preserve the Hospitals' history, while contributing to service planning, quality improvement, and the ongoing development of print and electronic collections.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic environment that blends clientfocused information services with leadership, collaboration, and handson library expertise.

You will support users through enquiries, orientations, and tailored research assistance, while also supervising staff and volunteers when required.

The role offers variety and scope-from cataloguing archives to evaluating services, from developing LibGuides to managing collections-making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and practical library work.

If you bring initiative, strong communication skills, and a commitment to evidencebased practice, you will make a meaningful contribution to a forwardlooking Library service that supports the goals of NSW Health, SWSLHD, and the Hospitals.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about how you meet the criteria below.

  • Recognised Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship / Information Studies with eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
  • Advanced skills in literature and database searching, with a sound understanding of the contemporary research environment and how the Library can support researchers, particularly those working in health.
  • Demonstrated skills in service planning with a commitment to client-focused service provision, evidence-based quality improvement and innovation to meet client needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated digital and computer literacy including knowledge and understanding of the current Library environment, as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new systems as required.
  • Demonstrated skills in the development, delivery and evaluation of in-person and online library education programs.
  • Understanding of and experience with archive collections.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
