Based at Brindley Park Farming, near Roma, the role of Agricultural Technician works within a team environment and safely undertakes a range of farming activities, to high standards, in line with seasonal conditions, and supports to the Manager with expert advice on land management, planning, and execution that is required to effective grow and harvest forage crops.

About the job
You'll be rewarded with a base annual income between $79,500 - $85,500, plus superannuation and ongoing training and development. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Undertake safe and effective operation of modern, fit for purpose farming equipment and machinery used for farm activities
Safe chemical handling, use and storage
Undertaking basic servicing of machinery and equipment
Data capture and record keeping, utilising relevant systems and technology
Monitor and report to Manager on weather, soil and seasonal conditions
Identification of weeds, parasites and collaborating with manager to devising methods of controls
Consultation and liaison with Agronomist

About you
Having obtained an AQF Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) or bring 3 years' practical experience in farming/cropping, experience, you'll be a self-motivated, positive team player who has:

Ability to safely and efficiently operate a range of farm machinery, plant & equipment
Expertise in pasture, land and soil characteristics and management
Practical knowledge of range of planting, fertilising, harvesting and processing processes to achieve optimal production outcomes
Ability to recognise, identify and eliminate pests and weeds
Sound numeracy and literacy skills
Appreciation of quality and compliance processes, with attention to detail and accuracy
Sound computer literacy and keyboard skills
