We are currently seeking expressions of interest for QA / QC Leads to work in the Surat Basin of western Queensland.

The Role

This position will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the Quality team whilst also being responsible for performing key activities within the Quality team ensuring that a high quality, customer focused service is provided to the project.

  • 5 plus years' experience in a Quality role
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with the client to understand requirements and with other Wood team members and vendors/suppliers to ensure effective implementation of Quality requirements
  • Demonstrates technical expertise, integrity and the ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organisation
  • Actively develops relationships with customers and Wood entities via regular contact and involvement. Demonstrates ability to develop long and short-term service relationships
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • International assignment/project experience in similar roles will be highly regarded

  • Prepare a Contract quality plan and ensure plan up to date through project lifecycle by regular monitoring
  • Prepare a Contract audit schedule and ensure risk has been correctly determined by Contract team, including conducting of audits
  • Prepare the ITP Master Listing defining ITP's required throughout the life of the Contract
  • Assign Quality resources to the Contract as required and communicate position responsibilities to the Quality team
  • Conduct assessment of subcontractor quality submissions prior to award
  • Effectively implement, use and maintain the relevant Wood Quality systems (IMPact & iMap), assisting others to follow up and close any outstanding actions
  • Oversee and deliver effective Project Management Review Programs that include collection, analysis and reporting of project performance measures, including progress against audit schedules
  • Plan, execute and approve reports on internal/external audits as required by the Audit Programme
  • Conducts regular review of risk rating on audit schedule with Contract Manager and Project Manager
  • Provide guidance on QA/QC training across wider Contract team throughout the Contract life
  • Approves project audit reports (audits completed by Quality lead to be approved by Contract Quality or Project Manager)
  • Assign and participate in quality risk assessment to audit activities
  • Conducts audits on supplier quality management system
  • Coordinate and manage project service and product verification and inspection of the project deliverables consistent with criticality assessments and contractual and regulatory obligations
