The Position

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, supervising, and actively participating in food production across multiple sites
  • Leading by example to deliver consistent food quality, service standards, and client satisfaction
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food presentation, safety, allergen management, and workplace health and safety
  • Managing stock control, budgeting, rostering, and labour management where required
  • Ensuring compliance with Compass Group systems, processes, reporting, and contractual obligations
  • Building strong relationships with site teams, clients, and operational leaders
  • Supporting mobilisations and operational transitions across Queensland locations
  • Inducting, mentoring, coaching, and developing Head Chefs, Catering Managers, and kitchen teams
  • Leading both front and back of house teams to deliver outstanding service outcomes
  • Upholding Compass Group values, culture, branding, and operational standards across every site

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Catering Manager, or Senior Chef in a leadership capacity
  • Multi-site leadership experience highly regarded
  • Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Strong understanding of food safety, allergen management, and WHS/OHS compliance
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, rostering, stock control, and operational performance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • A passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing teams
  • Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to work effectively across diverse environments
  • A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle, with regular travel required throughout Queensland
