An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Gardener to join the Blue Mountains Gardens & Grounds team. In this role, you will help to provide facility gardening and landscaping service that enables the business to perform its core service in medical services to the public. Your core duties will be to perform general gardening and landscaping activities as directed and to contribute to gardening and landscaping plans and designs.
As the successful incumbent, you will be expected to contribute to gardening and landscaping plans and designs. Key to your success is your knowledge of Work Health and Safety regulations and ability to comply with other relevant policies and procedures.

What you will bring to the role
- Current qualifications as a horticulturist or equivalent in Grounds and Gardens Maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of current WHS Act and relevant regulations as well as knowledge of current relevant Australian Standards
- Demonstrated experience and ability to perform landscape gardening work and associated physical/manual labouring tasks in a safe manner on NBMLHD facility grounds.
- Demonstrated ability to read plans, specifications and interpret drawings, estimate cost, time and materials of landscape gardening works
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and must be able to take oral and written direction from the maintenance management and maintain a co-operative working relationship with management, other trades staff and NBMLHD facility staff
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and email
