The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the team based in Townsville, QLD. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

What Will You Do?

Leading our skilled Operations team, you will:

• sustain an effective team capable of producing exceptional standards in safety, quality, lead times and delivery in full, on time measures
• ensure that all staff are working collaboratively to drive improvement of all operational processes
• lead and control inventory integrity within the site warehouse and ensure the accuracy of our stock holding

More About You

As an experienced Operations leader with a passion for safety, people and continuous improvement, you will bring:

• previous involvement in an operational or logistics environment
• exposure to and understanding of maintenance programs, systems and practices
• demonstrated experience coaching and leading collaborative teams
• forklift licence is preferable but not essential
